Afte 5 years of insuring my car with AXA/GIG I had file a claim for the first time this year due to a minor accident. Given that I had a high-tier policy, I was entitled for seven days of car hire. However, what should have been a simple bumper and headlight replacement took more than 18 days to complete, despite my daily follow-ups with the garage. As a loyal customer of AXA/GIG, I expected the insurance provider to take responsibility for these delays. Instead, I was disappointed with how the entire communication process was handled, especially regarding the possibility of renewing the car hire and acceleration of the repair process.
Terrible Experience with GIG – Not Worth the Premium! We have one of the premium insurance plans with GIG, but the service we receive is absolutely unacceptable. Even the most basic medical needs like a simple blood test are constantly rejected. What is the point of paying for premium coverage if it doesn’t actually cover anything? Every request turns into a long, frustrating process full of excuses, delays, and denials. It’s exhausting. GIG is fast to take your money, but when it’s time to fulfill their end of the deal, they make you fight for even the smallest things. This is not quality insurance. It’s a constant headache. Save yourself the stress, avoid GIG at all costs.
While I initially had an excellent experience with GIG Insurance and appreciated Ana’s professional and kind assistance at reception, unfortunately, my overall experience has since changed. Despite providing all required documents and receiving a final court verdict 26 days ago, I have been sent back and forth with no clear progress. I was told to contact the Private Clients department, but no action has been taken so far. It’s now been 66 days since the accident, and I am still waiting, under very stressful and urgent circumstances. The lack of support and responsiveness at this stage is extremely disappointing, especially considering how critical this matter is for my current situation. I truly hope GIG Insurance will take this seriously and act responsibly.
Dreadful experience. They charge extra for Oman insurance, but they don't send you the certificate when you request it. Fast to take the money, but unbelievably difficult when they need to provide minimum service. Take your business elsewhere; I used AXA before, but it's not worth staying with them since the takeover.
One of the worst insurance medical service providers in UAE . They are simply rejecting the requests and claims from the Hospitals with No valid reasons. They don't have any obligation towards the patients despite they already got paid a lot to provide a good standard health care services to the patients.however they are not caring for the patients or even emergency cases the patients come from .their target is only to mountain up their profits in a miserable way regardless any code of ethics in dealing with the patients in all aspects!!. NO respect or consideration to the patients rights or humanity ethnics at all ! Really disappointed with such very poor service and horrible experience with GIG . It is NOT recommended at all to have any kind of medical insurance with such firm .
