We were pleased to receive the debit card promptly; however, we are now facing issues that are causing disappointment and concern. One of my friends is facing an issue while trying to request a cheque book through the mobile app. The app only shows the option for a 10-leaflet cheque book, whereas the options for 25 and 50 leaflets are missing. Furthermore, when attempting to proceed with the 10-leaflet option, an error message appears saying "Failed Error." Multiple attempts have been made to reach your helpline, but despite waiting 10–15 minutes each time, no representative has answered the call. We also tried using the "Contact Us" option, and the response received mentioned a 48-hour timeframe for someone from your team to get in touch. However, no follow-up has been made so far. This experience is quite disappointing. Kindly look into the matter and resolve the issue as soon as possible.

The banking relationship that ended before it started! Opened a saving account on the app, which was so user friendly and lived up to the expectations from a 100% digital bank. However, things went south thereafter. I was expecting to receive my debit card soon. Waited a couple of days. Got a call instead asking for my Labor Contract. Sent it. Waited some more. Sent an email to ask status. No response. Reminder. no response. Called the Call Center after a few days. Couldn't get through, pressed the option to get a call back. No call back received. Called again next day, got through. Call Center said everything is in order, promised that account will be activated in 24 hours. Waited 24 hours, no activation. Instead got an email asking for more documents (bank statement, salary certificate). All this for a Savings Account. I swear I got a credit card once from a bank that only saw my Emirates ID! Two weeks total wasted on this effort. I told them I don't need the account, thank you very much. Very disappointed. 04/06/25 Update: as of today I have sent a total of 10 emails asking for this account to be closed. These emails have been marked to their customer service and complaint email addresses. Today, I finally got a response, which had nothing to do with my 10 emails, it was an automated reminder asking me to send more documents!! It seems all emails to customer service and complaints end up in a junk folder somewhere before being deleted.

Worst bank you can ever open an account in 20+ years in Dubai never have I ever seen, heard or had issues with a bank like this. Blocked my account by themselves blamed me for it as in I blocked it, stole money from my account without any explanation, email, even on the app to show why money was deducted and for what. Raised a complaint and one whole week passed no results. Told me that the placed order for another bank card again stole money from my account without my consent, then said this is service charge. Waited a week for the new card to come today we call and they’re saying yeah now you need to order a physical card to again take money from the account. Shut the phone and called again another agent said the delivery company didn’t deliver but your card has been issued??!!! They are stealing from peoples account under untrue policies. Do not DO NOT open an account with them, only a headache. Their card doesn’t even work in 90% of places when you want to make a purchase, it continuously gives error. 2 weeks of just headache and they’re all over the place no proper system, no proper staff, application shows one thing messages another. Unreal, worst bank in all of UAE. Save yourself the headache! And according to central bank policies and the law they MUST send an email to announce the policy changes however evident from the other reviews no one including myself has received any email regarding this change in policy, as they stated email was sent on September 2024! So in technicality they are withdrawing from peoples accounts illegally labeling it “policy”. I have other accounts in other banks and they explicitly always without a doubt send an email out regarding any major or minor changes with in the bank that affects consumers. (CBUAE Circular No. 8/2021). Spoke to another agent and instead of the bank taking responsibility for the distress they’ve caused, the agents is laughing at me while I’m voicing my concerns. The behavior and work etiquette of the bank is almost disturbing in the UAE. No respect for the laws nor consumer rights.

Despite my follow-ups, I still have no clear update on when the funds will be credited, which has been extremely frustrating. I value good customer service and transparency, but this experience has been disappointing. The bank needs to improve its refund processing time and provide proactive updates to avoid unnecessary delays and frustration for customers. I sincerely hope this issue is resolved soon.

Wanted to put 0 star, but there is no option. I had a terrible experience with Al Maryah Community Bank, and I strongly advise others to stay away from this bank due to their unfair charges and lack of transparency. 1️⃣ Hidden Charges & Unnotified Deductions I opened a zero-balance debit account and did not make any transactions. After a few months, I noticed the bank started deducting AED 26 per month, leading to a negative balance of -78 AED, even though I never used the account! When I asked why, they said they had updated their terms & conditions, but I never received any notification about these changes. 2️⃣ False Information from Customer Support Initially, customer care lied, saying the deductions included a 25 AED debit card delivery fee, but later, the manager completely denied this and gave a different excuse. The fact that their own staff does not know the correct reason for the charges shows how unprofessional this bank is. 3️⃣ Misleading Monthly Statements Even though my account is in negative balance, my monthly statements still show 0 AED! The bank said the negative balance will only appear once I pay, which is completely illogical and misleading. 📢 Avoid this bank at all costs! They charge hidden fees, provide contradictory information, and are not transparent with their customers. There are much better banks in the UAE that won’t trap you with unfair policies like this. 🔴 If you are thinking of opening an account here – DON’T! You might end up paying for nothing, just like I did. Edit: (After Bank's Reply) Your response does not address the main concerns I raised. 1️⃣ Unfair Charges Without Proper Notification You claim that the Monthly Non-Utilization Fee is part of the terms and conditions, but I never received any official notification about this update. If this was a new policy, why wasn’t I informed properly instead of being silently charged? 2️⃣ Contradictory Information from Your Own Staff Your customer support initially told me that part of the deduction was for a debit card delivery fee, which was later denied by the manager. If your own employees don’t know the correct reason for the charges, how can customers trust your explanations? 3️⃣ Misleading Monthly Statements – Why Haven’t You Addressed This? You completely ignored my concern about monthly statements still showing 0 AED balance even though my account is in negative balance. A bank should provide accurate statements, not hide negative balances until payment is made. This is misleading and unethical banking practice. 🔴 Final Point: Instead of giving a generic response, take real accountability for these issues. I have already filed a complaint with the UAE Central Bank, and I urge others to be cautious before banking with you. I request you to: ✅ Provide a proper justification for why my statements do not reflect the negative balance. ✅ Explain why customers were not individually notified about these new charges. Until then, I stand by my negative review as a warning to others.

They haven't verified the account and locked my money inside even when I called/email them at least 5 times in the course of 4 weeks, in which they told me to wait and the problem is on their side. Then they CHARGED ME with low balance fee even though I'm locked from sending or receiving money because THEY HAVEN'T DONE THEIR JOBS. Absolutely incompetent.
